Navarre Beach.

I crave a beach getaway. You wouldn't tell it from my pale skin but a beach vacation is something I believe should be mandatory. At least once a year. When my cousin sent out a Facebook message to the family several months back saying she and her husband were taking a year sabbatical and renting a condo on Navarre Beach and that visitors were encouraged, I knew I had to get there.

Getting there happened this past weekend as I took a couple days off work and headed to Florida for a long weekend to relax, soak up some sun, and spend time with family including my grandparents who live close to my cousin's condo and I hadn't visited with in over a year.
I couldn't have asked for better weather, a prettier beach, or better hosts. While storms often hovered around us (and provided an opportunity for some really cool photos), we never actually got any rain during the four days I spent with my cousin and her husband. I really enjoyed getting to know her husband better and spending more time with her in a 1:1 setting. We usually only see each other during our giant family reunions when we take over a house that sleeps 30+ and 1:1 time is pretty much non-existent.

The weekend consisted of relaxing on the beach, reading, hanging out on the balcony drinking coffee and eating breakfast tacos, taking long walks on the beach, and swimming in the ocean. I had an amazing time and was able to recharge both personally and professionally. Many thanks to my cousin and her husband for letting me visit (and for the future trip I've yet to plan!)

Life is good. Cheers.

Thanks for sharing. You have done a nice job of capturing the essence of Navarre/Meg/JMO time. Special memories all the way around. Great photos too!
