This Fourth of July was one for the books. Such an incredible and amazing weekend full of laughter, friendship, and relaxation. When one of my college friends offered up her home on the Mobile Bay for the extended, holiday weekend, I jumped at the chance to hit the road, soak up some vitamin D, and enjoy a little vacation.
The weekend was absolute perfection. The perfect amount of time, amazing weather, great fireworks, delicious food, and the opportunity to kick back without the stress of work or life. I didn't wear a watch all weekend, detached from my phone (more or less), and didn't sweat the small stuff. I managed to start and finish a book (
The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls), catch up on sleep, and hit up the outlet malls on the way home for some pretty great deals.

Vacation. Nothing beats it!

Hard to get back into the swing of things back at work but July is definitely a month where I'm working to live. With Running of the Bulls this upcoming weekend and a family vacation later this month to North Carolina, this month is shaping up to be exactly what I need!
Cheers.
