North Carolina Vacation.

It's been five years since our family enjoyed a week in the mountains in North Carolina. I was in grad school at the time, Jeff and Katie were just dating, Nat couldn't make it, and I could only go for a couple days before I had to return to Athens for training. This year, things were a bit different. Jeff and Katie are not only married but were able to provide some incredible entertainment for the week with our little nugget/monkey, V! Nat was able to join us for several days and I was fortunate to be able to take six days off work to get away and relax.

We rented a home in Cashiers (pronounced Cashers, who knew!?) and settled in for a week of cooler temperatures and NO HUMIDITY! A dream for us! The only downside was the rain that never seemed to leave us alone for more than a few hours at a time. Bummer. So I didn't get much sun. But the things we did do??

- A two mile hike one day and a six? mile hike the next - Saw an amazing waterfall!
- A couple afternoons tubing and skiing on Lake Glenville
- Kayaking on Lake Hampton
- Feasting on some incredible home cooked meals!
- Shopping in Highlands
- reading, working out, lounging, movie watching, and puzzle making

It was a terrific vacation and a great way to recharge before August!
Amazing bonding time with Victoria
This 1000 piece puzzle was a bit more challenging than we anticipated. Took us close to two days!

Sibling love!

Cheers.
