Must See TV
It's been several fall seasons since I've blogged about what I'll be tuning in for this season. But the spirit moved me and so here I am to map out my fall viewing schedule.
I'm excited for a couple new shows (Designated Survivor and This is Us) and I'll likely give Notorious a try because it's sandwiched between Grey's and HTGAWM on Thursdays and Conviction because well, because. I'm looking forward to seeing how Criminal Minds changes with the departure of two leading men and the return of my girl Paget Brewster and word on the street is a couple of my favorites (Quantico and HTGAWM) are retooling for the new seasons so we'll see if they keep me intrigued. Supergirl moved from CBS to the CW and Calista Flockhart is no longer a series regular. While I'd watch almost anything that stars Jeremy Jordan, I'm likely tuning out from Supergirl this season. Sorry, Melissa Benoist. Scandal is absent from the fall lineup (apparently returning in November) as is Nashville which is moving to a new network as well with Connie Britton also moving from series regular to guest star so I'm not confident it's a show I'll stick with. Time will tell! I'm already missing The Good Wife that ended its run last spring.

Here's the lineup! New shows are designated with an * and will get the usual 3-episode trial run. If I'm hooked, it stays on the DVR. If I'm not, it's out!

The Affair 9pm Showtime (No longer have Showtime but if I did - I'd be tuning in)
Monday
Supergirl (if I'm home for it) 7pm CW
Conviction* 9pm ABC
Tuesday
This is Us* 9pm NBC
Wednesday
Criminal Minds 8pm CBS
Blindspot 9pm NBC
Designated Survivor* 9pm ABC
Thursday
Grey's Anatomy 7pm ABC
Notorious* 8pm ABC
How to Get Away with Murder 9pm ABC
So there we go! It may seem like a lot of shows but it's a far cry from past seasons where the count was as high as 17. SEVENTEEN SCRIPTED SHOWS. Gulp. Comedies don't typically make the list. I enjoyed the limited, first season of Superstore so maybe I'll catch some of those episodes on In Demand if I'm lounging on the couch with an empty DVR and I MAY (or may not) tune in for the 6th season of American Horror Story. Unlikely since it premieres at 9pm Wednesday when I've already got two shows in that slot.
Time to warm up the DVR! Happy viewing.
