Thank you, September!

Looking back over the last several months, I can confidently say that September was the best month by far in some time. It was a month of saying "YES" and being open to new people and new experiences. My weekends were a great reminder that heading into a weekend with no plans doesn't mean you're doomed to spend the weekend at home alone. It just means you're more open to spontaneous requests.

Some highlights from the month:
  • Seattle for Labor Day! Rooms got married and I got to spend some quality time with my sister, old grad school friends, and friends from leadershape.
  • Babysitting Victorious and Benjammin and focusing on my role as guncle/parrain
  • The Dixie Chicks Concert! 10th row free tickets and tabling for HRC. A night to remember!
  • Volunteering with 504ward to gut a flooded home in BR
  • November Project on both Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Sunday morning breakfast on the Bayou
  • Hosting our new team over for dinner
  • NOLA on Tap festival
  • Kebab and Kajun's for N's birthday!
  • UGA game watching parties at Redd's
  • Pool day with friends
  • Tchoup Yard for a work happy hour
Things at work are going great. September felt like a month of both wrapping up summer and laying the groundwork for the year ahead and I couldn't be more excited or prouder of our team. Plans have been set to renovate my bathroom later this month (it needs it!) and for the moment, I'm feeling content on the dating front.

I'm grateful for the cooler temperatures heading into October, a work trip to Chicago next week to see my leadershape community, and the peace and contentedness I am feeling after a whirlwind summer. Yes indeedy.
