Eleven.
July 15, 2008. Eleven years ago. The blog is now a 5th grader. Happy Birthday, City in my Soul. Though my posting is a lot more sporadic these days (every 3 months or so...), I'm proud that almost 750 entries later, the blog serves as a trip down memory lane. Leaving Memphis after seven years, my experiences in grad school in Athens, moving to St. Louis, and finally returning home to NOLA and my six years back in the Crescent City. I started the blog just south of my 26th birthday and with 37 around the corner, there's been a lot of learning, growing, and stretching in this last decade.
I'm confident that if I ever opted to write a book (not likely), I'd pull content from several of the past almost 750 posts. So if you're new to City in my Soul, or if like me, you're wondering what some of my best posts were, here's some highlights (or blasts from the past if you will):
