SENIOR SEMESTER!
Once I hit submit on my final assignment for the semester, I could smell it. "Senior" permeated the air and it felt good. I cracked my knuckles, placed my hands behind my head, kicked back, and said, "Life. is. good." Hard to believe I'm finished with my junior semester in graduate school. Similar to college, junior year proved to be a waiting game. You're no longer a naive underclassmen who can run around worry-free thinking to yourself, "I have plenty of time" but you're not yet a senior faced with the impending graduation date, the incessant questions about your future, and the nostalgia that sets in as you reflect back on your time forgetting all the woes and focusing only on the good times. But in the land of CSAA, there's no time for celebrating the end of our third semester because COMPS is on the horizon, the major obstacle between me and graduation. I'll be spending the next month with my head buried in my books in NOLA, on the slopes, at the beach, and in Athens preparing for the juggernaut examination on Friday, January 8. I have faith I'll pass it with the right preparation and commitment to my studies. I have to. If I don't, the last two years of my educational studies will have been a waste of my time and my money. So let's not go there.
I'm sure I'll update here and there about the preparation and the two family vacations I'll be embarking on to Breckenridge, CO and Florida over the break. It's going to a busy next 30 days. Watch out January 8, I'm gunning for you...
Cheers.
