A Warrior Weekend.
And here we are, October officially here, and September essentially come and gone with only a handful of blog posts to remember it by. Guess I have been a tad busy lately. So what's been up?
My new toy: the iPhone 5. LOVING IT. No, I am not one of "those guys" that has to have the latest gadgets. My mac is circa 6 years old and my previous iPhone was the 3GS. But it was dying slowly and it was time for an upgrade. And I can report I am happy with the new sidekick.
House/Dog sitting. With Shrut and Evie out of town, I was happy to house sit for them and spend some quality time with their dog, Zoe. It was nice to get away from campus for the weekend and remind myself what it's like to eat, sleep, launder, and hang out somewhere other than a residence hall. And Zoe made a great companion.
Throw in a little worship at The Gathering and Kickball with The Rusty Kickers and the weekend was complete. Cheers.

WARRIOR DASH! What a great adventure Saturday running the Warrior Dash with Danielle. Brigid and Sean came out to cheer us on and I loved every minute of the 3.17 mile race and 12 obstacles. The course was out in Old Monroe about an hour away from St. Louis. Though it was an early morning (7am departure) and we experienced an exploded tire and an impromptu visit from AAA and a trip to Walmart on our way home, it was a perfect day. I cannot recall the last time (or perhaps ever a time) when I laughed so hard crawling under barbed wire knee deep in wet mud. Fun, right? But I highly recommend the experience and look forward to signing up for another one down the road.
