Weekend rewind: Food, Friends, and Filming
Those weekends when you feel like you need a weekend from the weekend? That was one of these. Though I am in no way complaining considering this weekend turned out to be incredible.

The highlights:
Dinner Friday night with old friends at a restaurant generating a lot of buzz. I grew up with the Chef and it was great to connect with one of my childhood friends who was visiting with her husband from Germany. The oysters and scallops were delicious!
A visit to the Edible Schoolyard Saturday morning for the first of four city visits this weekend for a video we are putting together for Orientation. It was great to see the students in action and I enjoyed learning more about a great service site in the city.
Visiting with MLB, one of my FAVORITE friends rom St. Louis on Saturday who now lives in Boston. She and her boyfriend were in town for a wedding and I was able to grab lunch with them and walk around Jackson Square for an hour. LOVE HER!
A dinner party last night at my cousin's gave me the opportunity to meet some new folks in the city involved in a variety of professions and organizations and a visit this afternoon to the World War II Museum for more filming complete the weekend. And hopefully a visit to the gym so I can say the entire weekend wasn't a bust for working out.
Oh, and did anyone catch SNL last night? Probably the first time I've watched it in eons and Justin Timberlake and the slew of guests knocked it out of the park. Check it out online if you missed it!
Cheers.
