Scooter visits NOLA.

When one of my best college friends mentioned she'd be coming to town for a work conference, I immediately began counting down the days until her arrival. We calculated that it'd been just over two years since we last saw each other in Lexington for Easter and I was eager to be in her company and catch up on life. We had a better weekend than I could have ever imagined and soaked up some solid quality time together. 

The highlights?

• Dinner Thursday evening at Rum House followed by drinks at Delachaise.
• Friday evening dinner at Cowbell with Ed and Daph and a night on the patio at Phillips.
• Saturday in the French Quarter: Bloody Marys at Bar Tonique, shopping on Royal, taking in Jackson Square and the French Market, and lunch at Felix's.

The last time she visited NOLA was in 2005 for Mardi Gras so I enjoyed being able to introduce her to a different side of the city and take her to some of my favorite places. My time with Ash was incredible and I can't wait to see her again at a friend's wedding in October. If only she lived closer!
