Follow Your NOLA weekend.

On the weekend after Mardi Gras, the city rested. At least that is what it felt like to me this past weekend. Coming down from the Mardi Gras high, I was looking forward to a relaxing and low key couple days. My body needed it. My spirit needed it. And I soaked up every moment of it.

Tulane's beautiful campus! Caleb and I met up here before we hit the levee.
The highlights?
  • Chipotle dinner Friday evening, Target, and a glass of wine at Delachaise with Caleb
  • A visit with my grandparents on Saturday
  • Katie's birthday celebration Saturday night! Mellow Mushroom for dinner, City Putt, and a night cap at Morning Call for beignets
  • A great message in church Sunday morning
  • My Sunday afternoon bike adventure with Caleb. We biked for 2.5 hours taking the levee from Uptown to Kenner. We rode all the way out to the airport and back!
  • Dinner Sunday night with some UGA alums to welcome a group of 20 students visiting the city this week for an Alternative Spring Break trip

We followed the river all the way. Amazing ride!
The week ahead will be a busy one. Visited the dentist this morning for a filling (my first in 10+ years, ugh!), a volunteer orientation Wednesday night for RECreate, a Rhodes event Thursday night, and the St. Patrick's Day parade(s) this weekend. The city may rest, but she never really sleeps...

Cheers.
