Community Coffee.

I'm sitting in a CC's (Community Coffee) in New Orleans dreading writing my final Ecology Paper and contemplating how much warmer this place is going to get as the sun continues to heat up the world outside. I always have a difficult time deciding what to pack for a trip home. I filled my suitcase this time around with as many short sleeve as long sleeve t's, my flops, a pair of shorts, and a couple pair of jeans to get me through the week. I even packed a couple jackets but that appears to be a mistake as the weather here is hovering around the high 60's all week. That's New Orleans weather for you. It rarely ever gets cold but my psyche won't allow me to not pack any winter clothes when coming home for Thanksgiving. It just doesn't feel right.

I dropped my car off about 90 minutes ago for its 60k check up. I can see it from the window and it hasn't moved since I left it. I am beginning to wonder whether my time at CC's will become an all-day adventure...Considering I have a mound of work waiting for me, perhaps that's a good thing. Staring me in the face this week is a final Ecology paper, some COMPS prep work, a review of the DC Comp Schedule, and a presentation for GCLC.

Ever the planner, I set myself some goals: Finish the paper today, Spend tomorrow and part of Wednesday on COMPS, Friday on the DC and GCLC work, and the weekend traveling and relaxing. Yay Thanksgiving??

So for now, it's back to the paper. I sorta wish CC's had some actual food here outside of just pastries. I also sorta wish I hadn't worn a long sleeve shirt today. Such is life...
