Making a Memory
My friends and I have this saying...We spent their senior year of college making the most of our time together and every time we found ourselves jamming at a concert or having a great night downtown or celebrating a birthday, we always said, "know what we're doing right now? making a memory." Really cheesy I know but for us, it was important to cherish our time together.I just returned from a trip to Dallas, TX this weekend for a friend's wedding. A couple unexpected things happened during my time down in Dallas. For starters, it was freezing. Like legit bone-chilling, cold. It also snowed all evening Saturday night. Snow. in dallas. in March. Go figure! But second, I forgot how much I missed the friends I was with this weekend. I had seen some of them as recently as a couple weeks ago and for some, it had been closer to two years since we'd last been together. But when we do all get together, it's insanely fun filled with ridiculous laughter.
The wedding was UNBELIEVABLE! I expected it to be quite the Dallas big-to-do and it definitely was. A beautiful church, some of the best singing I've ever head done before during the ceremony, a gorgeous reception venue, delicious food, and one hell of a band. I don't know that I've ever been to a wedding this lavish and it was definitely a sight to behold. When we weren't wedding it, we spent our time either in the room or the hotel bar making it a splendid little weekend.
Not sure when the gang will reunite again but I'm so very thankful and grateful to have them all in my life and feel incredibly blessed to get to make some great memories with them.
Cheers.
