Fun Day
Yesterday promised to be chock-full of FUN and I have to say, it certainly was. We met up at 12 noon to set out for our day of fun in the city. We had a great crew joining us consisting of several folks that work in campus ministry and their partners, some folks from res life, some from academic advising, a couple scholastics (Jesuits in training), and a WashU law student and his wife. After piling into cars, we set out for the day.First Stop: Gus's Pretzel Shop for a quick bite to eat
Second Stop: Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour. Since the tour takes roughly an hour and we didn't want to spend a lot of time there, we opted for the much shorter Stables Tour which is essence means you only go see the Clydesdales and then get to go sample the free beer. Yes please!

Third Stop: Tom Sawyer Riverboat Tour down the Mississippi River.
Fourth Stop: The Fountain on Locust which apparently is famous for its interior decorations, ice cream martinis, and was voted for having the best bathroom in 2010.
Fifth Stop: Milo's on the Hill for some drinks and a bite to eat. Sadly, I'd have to say this stop was the least fun of anywhere we went as the food was sub par and the place just didn't have a great atmosphere.
Sixth Stop: Fast Eddie's which I hear is the most talked about/popular bar in the Midwest. We had to venture over to Illinois for this gem and the MASSIVE building resembled a Hard Rock Cafe meets a bowling alley lobby meets an outdoor dance party in Mexico. It was insane. But we had a blast.
Fun Day came to a close at midnight last night meaning we spent 12 hours of fun together exploring the city. All in all, it was a really enjoyable day. I loved meeting all the new folks I didn't know yet and spending time chatting more with those I only smiled at and said hello to on campus. Really glad I got to partake in the festivities yesterday and look forward to next year's 4th annual Fun Day events!
Cheers.
