Christmas Eve.

It's indescribable the relief I was feeling after I pulled onto Hollywood Dr. yesterday afternoon close to 5:00pm. It had been a LONG 10-hour trek in the car and no thanks to iCloud, several of my Christmas albums which used to be on my iPhone had been removed. Son. of. a. Bitch. Lessons learned.

But I made it home, poured myself a drink, and settled into life here in NOLA. Last night we had a delicious salmon dinner and I dashed out to catch up and visit with Matt and Katie over several drinks at Winston's. It's hard for me to believe I haven't seen Matt since New Year's Eve of last year but I'm grateful our friendship is one that could go years without being in touch and then just as quickly pick back up.

It's shaping out to be a quiet Christmas Eve. I may be visiting the gym with my Dad later today and have some present wrapping to do before we head to Mass downtown for 4pm and then host the LeBlancs for a Christmas Eve dinner. It doesn't feel quite like Christmas Eve just yet though I am hoping that will change once we don our gay Christmas apparel.

Merry Christmas Eve er'body!
