Weekend Rundown

I've had an incredible weekend and couldn't be more thankful. I'm also loving this craptastic Sunday morning. It may be cold and rainy outside but with my tree lit up and some coffee brewing, it's a great morning!

So the highlights from the weekend?

The department end of semester (read: holiday) party Friday night at Mango, a Peruvian tapas restaurant downtown. I'd never been before and I L-O-V-E trying new places. The food was excellent and they have a great happy hour menu.

Spending the remainder of Friday evening in the Grove at Just John's dancing and meeting a number of folks in town for the annual AFA convention.

Watching LSU win the SEC championship Saturday with a bunch of new friends. I was invited to a new friend's house to watch the game and she invited over several people she knew. I love meeting new people (especially fun people) and hope to hang out with them all again.

Trying another new restaurant last night, Bridge, which is also downtown and owned by the same folks who operate Rooster (my favorite breakfast spot in the city---which just expanded! SCORE!) and Bailey's Chocolate Bar. It'd been on my list of places to check out and I couldn't have been more pleased. The atmosphere, food, and drink options were perfect.

Not much on tap for today...The gym, Mass, and at some point picking up my friend in town for the conference and taking him to the airport. And maybe some online Christmas shopping...Hope you've have a great weekend too!

Cheers.
