Winter is here.

Remember that episode of Full House? The one where DJ and Stephanie were messing around in their Dad's room and ended up putting a hole in the wall and tried to cover it up by rearranging the furniture a bit? They sent Michelle to watch for him and when he came home, Michelle ran up the stairs saying, "He's coming, he's coming, he's coming...he's here." No? well, humor me. In any case that's how I have felt about the approaching Winter season. It's coming, it's coming, it's coming...it's here. Gulp. We've had some colder days sprinkled in the last couple months though I must say I was highly surprised and pleasantly happy to see many warmer days in October and November. Held off my disgust for a time.

But the winter is finally upon me here in the Midwest and there's no escaping it. The first snow flurries greeted the campus on Monday afternoon and yesterday morning when I was tromping around outside from 830a-10a playing host to some staff from Butler University, the flurries were out in full force. Awesome. this group picked the coldest day of the season to visit campus and I somehow got nominated to give them a tour.

And today? You can just FEEL the cold creeping in from the outside. Makes you want to stay indoors all day. I am by no means ready or looking forward to another few months of cold, ice, snow, and crud but not much I can do about it. Yes, Michelle Tanner, winter is here.

Cheers.
