Hunger Games Weekend
It was a little over a year ago that I picked up the first book and dove into the world of Panem and The Hunger Games. And I've been looking forward to the movie for quite some time. I followed the casting with the eagerness and excitement of a small child going to Disney World for the first time. And though it seemed like forever until March 23 rolled around and the movie was released, the day finally came. I HIGHLY enjoyed the film. Though there were some items from the book that were left out of the movie (as is the case with all film adaptations of books), I felt the movie more closely followed the book than any other adaptation I've seen in quite some time. The casting, pace of the film, story line, and emotions were spot on. Well done, Hunger Games, well done.
Definitely a weekend highlight seeing the movie on Saturday morning, IMAX edition. Other highlights from the weekend included dinner at Blueberry Hill Friday night and karaoke night at Tom's, and dinner and drinks last night at Field House catching up with Chase and a buddy of his.
I'm looking forward to a low key Sunday. Need to make a run to Target, hit the gym, spend some time on a work presentation, and do a bit of cleaning round here. Should be a good day.
Cheers.
