Weekend Recap: Basketball, St. Paddy's, Spring

March isn't the only thing slipping away from me these days. The blog seems to be as well. I can't quite confidently say that this month will mark my lowest posts in the history of the blog but it is indeed possible.

Recruitment season around here has kept me incredibly busy and with everything going on, plus the extra daylight hours thanks to DST and my desire to spend more time outdoors, at happy hours on patios, and hitting the pavement exercising, blogging has hit the back burner. I am coming off a wonderful weekend though and wanted to share the quick highlights:

There was a lot of this...

The Billikens made it to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 14 years! Since 1998. And with a win over the Memphis Tigers in the 2nd round and a fight til the end against the #1 ranked Michigan State in the 3rd round, I couldn't have been more proud of our team! Though the Billikens have never made it to the Sweet 16, we held our own, and for that, we have much to be thankful for. I loved watching them on TV both Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Friday evening I hosted all of my coworkers over to my apartment for a crazy, zany, wacky, and incredibly fun evening of bonding. With the students gone for Spring Break, it was a perfect way to cap off the time away before it was back to business as usual Sunday.

And on Saturday? A wonderful time down in Dogtown attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade. These steppers were some of my favorites from the parade! Because they were so....awful. And we left just in time to avoid the torrential rain that came through around 3pm Saturday and lasted until Sunday.

And finally, I took advantage of the CRAZYAMAZINGWONDERFUL early Spring weather we've been experiencing. How could you not love the trees and flowers in full bloom on campus?

Yes, indeed. Life. is. good. Cheers!
