Lake Street Dive.
One of the greatest things about the city of New Orleans that I rarely never take advantage of is the live music. And it's truly a shame. Because this city has more music artists and more live shows than I bet any other city in America. But I'm not a betting man. When a friend who I hadn't seen in a few weeks called me last night and asked if I were interested in joining her at a bar on Lee Circle to see an indie/folk band she heard good things about, I immediately said yes.
And it turned out to be amazing! The band, Lake Street Dive. They rocked my world. What didn't rock my world? How small the bar was and how large the crowd was. It created the perfect storm for a claustrophobic person like myself. And it was HOT. But overall, it was a great show and I am glad I went.
