RUDE is a choice.
A girl in the program said today that she truly believes that being RUDE is a choice. I would agree with her. My old roommate used to say "RUDE" all the time as a phrase to describe our almost daily encounters with anyone who we felt needed a dosage of decency and consideration. Man, I miss E sometimes walking around going "RUDE. RUDE. RUDE."Anyway, my neighbors upstairs are in need of a serious dosage of decency. Perhaps they are ignorant to the fact that they don't live in the woods, a cave, or even underground. They live in an apartment complex surrounded by neighbors. With that being said, as a tenant of an apartment complex, you are obliged to agree to an unspoken and unwritten oath of DECENCY and CONSIDERATION. This means you shouldn't have domestic disturbances in the hallway. It means you shouldn't let your children run through the building screaming or practicing their WWF moves on the living room floor. It also means that you TURN YOUR EFFIN MUSIC DOWN. You aren't in the club. You aren't in the studio. And for Pete's sake, no one else wants to hear your bass thumping and vibrating through the walls. So turn the shitake down.
RUDE.
I don't know what gives with these people. They thunder around like wild elephants running through Africa on their way to welcome Simba into the world. They pretend the carpet is a batch of grapes needing to be stomped on to produce the finest wine. And they turn their music on to the highest decibel to prevent themselves from being able to think. I know I can't! Last week I sung along to Pink since I could hear it clearly from the ceiling. How thoughtful of them...
RUDE.
Ok, I just needed to vent. I understand everyone can't be as considerate and decent of others as we would all hope. And I found out good news today that they are moving out Friday and will be gracing someone else with their rudeness.
Good riddance shitake neighbors. Take your rudeness and go elsewhere. You're destroying my zen.
