Underneath the weight of it all...
Even though I'm still bitter about not getting to go to the Matt Nathanson/Sugarland concert last Saturday due to the torrential downpour in Alpharetta, one of his songs, "Weight of it All" has been my theme song for the week...
I've had a few days of reflection lately (to borrow Mark's take). For me, those days of reflection involve being less outgoing and boisterous and just sitting back to take everything in. It also normally involves several people asking me, what's up or what's wrong because I'm not bouncing off the walls being my usual self.
And not to toot my own horn but I'm really proud of myself for negotiating some difficult conversations this week in a variety of arenas. I've realized the importance in being able to articulate what I am feeling and why I'm feeling it and what I need to do to move forward. And so that's what I've done. It feels great to have some weight lifted off of me.
Cheers.
show me where the sun comes through the sky
i'll show you where the rain gets in
and i'll show you hurricanes
and the way that summer fades
underneath the weight of it all
i'll show you where the rain gets in
and i'll show you hurricanes
and the way that summer fades
underneath the weight of it all
