SYTYCD: I saw it LIVE!

The past few days have been nothing sort of a grueling, exhausting, academic overload. From a midterm that somewhat rocked our world to a paper I struggled to complete and a three hour discussion on sexual orientation, my brain has been beaten!

So I couldn't have been more excited to get out of Athens last night to see the SYTYCD live show at the Gwinnett Center. Earlier in the summer, my supervisor surprised me with tickets to the show as a thank you for the hard work I had done with two of our biggest programs. Back then, it seemed like October 20 was years away. My, how time has flown.

So we set out last night around 5pm to drive to Daluth, GA for the show. We had amazing seats and the show was incredible! Seeing the top 12 dancers reunite and seeing them live was unbelievable! From the solo performances to the group numbers to some of the best routines of the season, the show did not disappoint. There were only two numbers in last night's performance that were not in Season 5 (two group numbers) but that was A-ok with me. I was perfectly content watching some of my favorites and taking a trip down Season 5 memory lane.

The highlights and my favorites from last night included the dance Ade and Melissa did as a tribute to breast cancer survivors, the Travis Wall choreographed dance for Jason and Jeanine and the Mia Michaels inspired "Addiction" dance that Kayla and Kupono rocked. It was amazing to see these dances live.

Can't wait to see the top 20 revealed tonight for Season 6. Performances should begin next wee. Here we go folks. It's time for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!

Cheers.
