A day in the life...

Another day, another costume. This time, I was dressed in this oh so fashionable 80's track suit for a little dance number my colleagues and I filmed on Friday morning. Apparently, it's become a little tradition in the department to show a video at winter training of the professional staff being ridiculous. Last year, they choreographed a scene from Glee. This year, we did a little "dance through the decades" number.

It only took us about 2 hours to learn various choreography, practice, and film the 5 minute dance. The sight of 11 of us dressed in a variety of ridiculous outfits dancing in sync to Grease, YMCA, Twist & Shout, the Macarena, Cotton Eyed Joe, Ice Ice Baby, Single Ladies, and more? Priceless.

Somehow one of my colleagues, the mastermind behind the whole thing, even convinced our Vice President and Assistant Vice Presidents for Student Development to take part in the video through cameos of them dancing to hits from the 70's.

Oh Student Affairs, how I love thee...
