Wonder Weekend
This past weekend has been good for my soul. My social soul. After spending the majority of last weekend recouping from my trip to Thailand and hanging out solo, I was eager to spend a weekend with friends to refresh my social soul. And this weekend did not disappoint!
So the weekend highlights?
So the weekend highlights?
- A Friday night date with my friend Kelly. Lola on Washington Ave is a restaurant I'd been wanting to check out for quite some time and LOVED it. I had the Delilah crepe: shrimp, crab meat, and tomato stuffed inside; crawfish etouffe on top. And after dinner, we went to see The Artist, a movie I'd been hoping to check out before Oscar night.
- Saturday afternoon I went to the 26th annual Missouri Wine Tasting Festival. While I can now say that I am NOT a fan of Missouri wines, it was a fun afternoon tasting various wines, giving money to a great cause, and spending time with some new WashU friends.
- A birthday dinner/celebration Saturday night for my friend, Jenny, at SubZero. Highly enjoy that place even though it's one of those places where you go to be seen. You know what I mean.
- Sunday morning fellowship by checking out a new church where a friend's friend is the pastor and brunch at Rooster. Both were much needed for fellowship and worship.
I'm spending the afternoon catching up on AMC's The Walking Dead, season 1. A season I've been wanting to see since I caught the marathon during New Year's. And tonight I'm headed over to Chase and Sarah's for a Grammy viewing party.
So all in all? An incredible weekend full of friendship and adventures all over the city. A definite wonder weekend.
Cheers.
