"Brad day."

How did the week slip by so quickly without a blog post? How incredibly lame is that. I admit I've been insanely busy this week and have pulled some long days for my student groups but seriously, there's always time to blog, right?

So grateful that it's the weekend. I was looking forward to a "Brad day" which is essentially what I've dubbed and what my classmates have come to know as a day where Brad doesn't have to do shitake (aka work) and I spend the day taking care of the little things I've neglected. Usually it involves some cleaning, laundry, a long work out, and perhaps a bit of school work. I try to have a "Brad day" every Friday and usually, they make me feel like I've accomplished a great deal and found some balance in an otherwise unbalanced life.

"Brad day" (I really should come up with a different name for it) took a different spin today as I spent the morning traveling to Atlanta and back with Steve to rent some tools. (Laugh it up clowns). They are for a day of service tomorrow Volunteer UGA is putting on. We hit up Five Star Day for lunch (the one out East, yes, it exists, who knew??) and I had an incredible Grilled Garden Club Sandwich. It essentially consists of basil, tomato, mozzarella, and grilled zuchini and some special sauce. I got a side of Fried Green Tomatoes with it and thought, why not combine the two!? (INTERROBANG!). So I made my own sandwich and it. was. delicious. I'll definitely be adding that place to my list of good places here in Athens.

Had to drop by the office for a bit to finish some paperwork thus making today a non-"Brad day" in technically, but that's ok. I'm off for a run because the weather is GORGEOUS and then going to see Milk this evening at Tate Theatre because it's free and it's a good movie.

I've had some good highs and some bad lows for the week but maybe I'll save those for tomorrow. Who knows...

Cheers!
