What a great weekend.
Summer is indeed finally here. I had an incredible weekend and after a long work week, it was much needed. Luckily, the weather was in my favor all weekend and I did my best to be outside as much as possible.
I spent Friday afternoon lounging at Daph's pool with her and Sam and went out Friday night with a crew of people to Allgood for some drinks on the patio. Ashton came to visit Saturday for the day and after a visit to Jittery Joe's with Kari and a homemade breakfast, we spent the afternoon at the pool. We went to Taqueria del Sol for dinner Saturday night (sat on the patio) followed by drinks at Little Kings for the remainder of the evening (again, on the patio).
Today, we went to Last Resort with Steve for their amazing Sunday brunch (Apple cinnamon pancakes were today's choice) followed by more pool time and an early evening 4 mile run with Kari.
All in all, I couldn't have asked for better weather or a better weekend. It was great to have Ashton here and it was my final weekend with Kari before she sets out on her cross country trek to settle in Seattle.
If every weekend turns out this great, the summer of 2009 will be shaping out to be one of the best yet.
In other news, what happened to May? Crazy that tomorrow is June 1! (Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!)
