Valentine.
Happy Valentine's Day! I'm single this year on V-day (a recurring theme) but I've never been one to hate/despite/spit upon the day of love. Even if you're single, you can still find a way to celebrate with loved ones and be thankful for the love in your life.I had a great Valentine date today with a friend of mine in the program. We visited Ike and Jane's (a cute, little pastry place in town) for a late breakfast before going to see the new film, Valentine's Day. I was looking forward to seeing it but also skeptical since it hasn't gotten rave reviews and friends that have seen it didn't speak too highly of it. One friend said the best part were the previews. But I liked it and thought it was worth my money. It was great to see so many stars in the film and it didn't make me want to run out and gag or vom.com for a lack of having someone special in my life. The film doesn't really have a solid plot outside of everyone either being in or looking for love but if you're bored and looking for something to go see, go for it!
Tonight, some friends are throwing a "Friends are the best lovers" dinner party. We're dressing up and celebrating friendship with a great meal, spirits, and company. I'm looking forward to it.
Whether you're single, committed, or entertaining several potential others, give thanks today for the loved ones in your life.
Cheers.
