Nola Love.
Two reasons I'm loving New Orleans this week: Sal's Sno-balls and PJ's Coffee. I walked with my dad and brother last night to Sal's for one of their famous sno-balls. I used to love their strawberry flavor as a young tyke and would visit it every Tuesday and Thursday in the summer after wrapping up a cabbage ball game at SCS.
Nowadays, I'm a huge fan of their lemonade sn0-ball. Still delicious and it doesn't stain your entire mouth a deep red. I remember when Sal's used to charge 50 cents for the small and 70 cents for the large. The prices last night are up to 1.30 for the small and 1.50 for the large. Times sure have changed. But the goodness of Sal's sure hasn't...
And then there's PJ's coffee. Mmm. I'm at PJ's down the street today prepping for an on campus interview I have next Monday. I won't have much time to prepare for it as I'm off to Austin tomorrow for the Team Unstoppable reunion until Sunday afternoon and I'd prefer to not have to spend all of Sunday evening preparing. Instead, I'd rather enjoy the LOST finale! But PJ's has been good to me this afternoon as I soaked up everything there is to know about my on campus next week.
Cheers.
