TORNADOS
I took this photo about 15 minutes before the tornadoes touched down around the area. I never cease to be amazed at the students who just don't see the need to take cover and seek shelter. The weather radio was going crazy and the TV showed us in the RED zone. But students were griping and thinking it was pure nonsense that I wouldn't let them go up to their rooms. Some even figured waiting outside was better than waiting in the basement or the first floor hallway. Go figure!
Though I didn't venture out, we fared well aside from some intense rain and heavy winds for a few minutes. All in all, it took 30 minutes to pass over us and we got the all clear.
Freaking Midwest!
Cheers.
