toasted pecans.

I'm loving this weekend. It's my last weekend in Memphis before the big move and so far, it's pretty EPIC. Hit up the Trolley Tour last night. If you haven't done it yet, you definitely should include it among your list of things to do. It's the last friday of every month on south main downtown and with free alcohol and cool artwork, it's pretty hard to pass up. We visited several galleries and managed to drink sangria, white & red wine, PBR,  and bloody marys (is there a plural for that?). Quite an eclectic combination. We had a great group too which made the tour really awesome: Mosey, Bets, Danielle, Dan, Forbes, and Alli.

My favorite moment of the night: The first gallery we visited was pretty empty and had an assorted cheese and cracker plate out. Being the etiquette poster child, I decided to use my fingers to dig through the cheese and pick out the best kind (colby and monterrey jack blend). As I was digging in the cheese, the gallery owner said, "oh I guess we didn't put out the toothpicks-oh no wait, we did." awesome brad. way to skip the toothpicks and stick your grubby paws all over the cheese.

Afterwards, we had dinner at the downtown blue monkey. It was packed last night. Food was great and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Definitely an improvement over the midtown blue monkey-not as dark and bleak. Post monkey, we attempted to go to Ground Zero, Morgan Freeman's bar that opened a couple months back off of Beale next to Red Rooster but they had a cover so we settled on Silky's.

Went to Eclectic this morning for the usual Saturday breakfast with Dan and had the Granola and Yogurt bowl with fresh berries and a croissant and latte. It hit the spot. If you still haven't been to Eclectic, get off your butt and get over there!

Off to Shells' pool party this afternoon bringing my mom's delicious strawberry salad and then who knows what's in store for tonight. Gotta go toast the pecans first.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. You better lather up in the SPF 75 if you go outside. It's bloody hot. Make sure the SPF is sweat proof because you're sure to shed a few pounds of water too.

Cheers.
