'Twas the week before the half...
The half marathon is SATURDAY (what???) How did that happen? I'm sure there are those of you who quite frankly are sick and tired of hearing about it and I promise you that after just one more blog post about the actual weekend, I'll retire my running talk. I'm anxious and nervous, excited and scared, but all in all, PUMPED about the trip this weekend. We are departing early Friday morning for the road trip to Nashvegas to check into our hotel and visit the running expo.
The race starts bright and early Saturday morning at 7am. Don't know that I've ever run that early...We haven't quite figured out if we'll be taking a shuttle or not to the race but if we do, the shuttle only operates between 4am and 6am. Excuse me? My goal is to finish the half by 9am or 930am so by the time most of you are waking up from a crazy Friday night out, I'll be sipping on a beer celebrating the victory!
I ran three miles yesterday and plan to do a couple cardio work outs today and Thursday just to keep my legs moving. I probably will not run again until the half. Thanks for all the support and encouragement along the way! I really appreciate it.
