Manic Marathon Mondays.
Teddy Geiger (yadda, yadda, one hit wonder...if you call it a "hit") had a song called, "Love is a Marathon." If it spawned with the Bangles, "It's Just Another Manic Monday," they'd have a song called "Manic Marathon Monday."
Monday has become my most insane and dreaded day of the week. It usually starts with a trip to the gym for an early morning lift although this morning's Monday began with a trip to the body shop to meet with the Geico insurance rep to have my car repaired and pick up my Enterprise Rental (14 days post the accident...) After hitting the gym, I run into the office to collect my thoughts for 15-20 minutes before sitting through a two-hour staff meeting. Grab a quick lunch and dart off to 6 hours worth of class. Normally we have an hour break between the two classes to grab a bite to eat and destress but today I had a meeting between the two classes. We finish class around 7:45pm and then wait 15 minutes for a bus to come before heading home.
And once I get home, my brain = mush. I don't think it helps that the last three hours of my day are spent talking about PREJUDICE + POWER = OPPRESSION (Thank you Goodman!) Deep stuff, eh? Envious? I knew it...
So by the time Monday is through, I feel like it should be Wednesday. Luckily, if I can get through a manic marathon Monday, I can coast the rest of the week.
Autopilot commencing...
Cheers.
