Saturdays in Athens

September is upon us and that means only one thing here in Athens, GA: The return of Saturdays between the hedges. On game days here in Athens, GA, the city transforms itself into a sea of red and black and life essentially stops. The only thing people seem to talk about, think about and dream about is football and the Dawgs.

I received a full season package this year and look forward to going to the games, especially the game on October 3 when the LSU Tigers travel to Athens. Not sure how I am going to cheer during that game...We shall see.

Today kicks off the season with the Dawgs playing the Oklahoma State Cowboys. I've invited the program over to watch the game and already have BBQ cooking in the crock pot. I'm looking forward to having everyone over to enjoy some good food, drinks, and fellowship and can't wait to watch this season unfold.
