Reality TV

Summer 2k11 is the summer of reality TV for my DVR. I didn't realize how many television shows I was watching this summer and trying to keep track of until I tried DVRing something Thursday night and noticed my inbox was getting quite full. Oops! But it's the summer and with most of my favorites on hiatus, I had to fill the DVR box somehow...

So, my list of shows for the summer (I presume you'll begin judging now...)

1. BIG BROTHER (3 nights per week)
2. So You Think You Can Dance (2 nights per week)
3. The Bachelorette
4. The Glee Project
5. Teen Mom (the originals)
6. The Challenge: Rivals
7. Drop Dead Diva (not reality)
8. Teen Wolf (not reality)
9. Design Star (starts this week!)

That amounts to 14 hours of recorded television each week. On average that's only 2 hours of TV per day which is definitely doable and does not make me feel worthless or that I'm wasting away the summer in front of the television. Plus, I FF through all of the commercials. And sometimes parts of the program itself.

My mom suggested/recommended I watch some of the USA and TNT summer shows and I don't doubt that the scripted dramas are worth viewing, I just don't think I have the time to add more shows into my already reality dominated schedule.

Cheers.

I'm also watching 3-6 because it's the only thing my poor brain can process after work. At least that's my excuse.
