Weekend Recap: Independece Day
No fireworks this 4th of July weekend. In fact, aside from having today off, this weekend didn't really feel like the 4th of July. Perhaps because I didn't grill my heart out, see fireworks, head out of town, spend the weekend in a bathing suit, or surround myself with loved ones. It's been a relatively quiet weekend...but I'm not complaining.
So what have I been up to? I already posted about my Friday night's tapas adventure. I hit the gym Saturday and spent the afternoon by the pool reading, listening to Pandora, and playing a pick up game of sand volleyball with some randoms. Sadly the on call phone rang and disrupted the game. Saturday night Chase, Sarah, and baby Mason came over and we grilled out chicken and fresh veggies and caught up on life. So great seeing them and spending some time with Mason!
Yesterday I planned to duplicate the gym and pool but some ominous clouds and thunder came to town and I left the pool shortly after arriving there before the skies opened. So instead I spent the afternoon on the couch watching a couple marathons and went out to dinner last night with a friend to Katy's pizza (LOVE. THAT. PLACE.)
So today's adventure? Hopefully a run (despite the rain clouds still being around) and a GRILL OUT for the summer residents this afternoon (if the rain holds off). Training begins tomorrow so I'm hoping for a relaxing day!
