Travel. Bleh.

It's the busiest travel day of the year, the Wednesday before Turkey Day, and I am working on building up my supply of patience, positivity, and calmness before departing for the airport on this incredibly foggy morning. It's one of the few downfalls of not living close to home (close as in within a short driving distance). Of course a deep and heavy fog would roll in early this morning delaying many flights into and out of St. Louis. I am hoping those traveling to Chicago are safe considering the news just reported there's only 1/16 mile visibility here in the 'Lou and 1/8 in Chicago. Yikes!

I'm NOLA bound by way of ATL and already feeling a bit of stress considering my layover in the ATL (pending my flight is on time) is only 37 minutes and I am departing out of a different gate. Stellar. But remember that positivity I am building up? I am keeping the faith. I'm also saving my free drink coupon I got from Delta during ATL pride for my second flight as a reward I've made it. Plus, who wouldn't enjoy a cocktail at 4:00pm? Sounds like a good idea to me! And by 5:00pm today, I should be walking off the plane to 70 degree weather in NOLA. Sounds even better to me!

For those traveling this Thanksgiving holiday, may you be safe and enjoy your time with family, friends, or on that extended vacation you've been wanting to take. For those of you staying local, give thanks you don't have to fight the crazies.

Happy Travels! Cheers.
