Grown-Up Christmas List.
Have you ever heard the song, "Grown Up Christmas List"? Michael Buble has a great rendition that can be heard here. It's somewhat cheesy but nowhere near as bad as "Christmas Shoes." In any case, after listening to the song and reading my roommate's blog (that I would link to but it's private...), it made me stop and think what I would *wish* for this year.
I already gave my mother the actual material list. It included a few gems such as Nike+, a leather messenger bag, a scarf, tie or two, and a few other clothing items to update my wardrobe. But then I started wondering what I would really want if I could ask for anything this Christmas from either St. Nick, my friend JC, or anyone else listening.
And what I would really love in this new year is a free bill of health and to meet that special someone. Both are pretty simple and I think would leave me happy and content in the new year. Unselfishly, I'd love to see the economy find some stability, for this gd war to finally come to an end, and for our country to come together to support our new president, to fight for rights and equality for ALL individuals, and to help our fellow neighbor.
So here's to my christmas wishes and to yours. I'll eagerly be waiting to see what comes down the chimney this year.
