Cookie Book Party

Last night, Christy invited the cohorts over for a Cookie Book Exchange Party. The idea is that everyone brings a wrapped book and a dozen (or so) cookies. Everyone gets to leave with a variety of someone else's cookies and a new book. You decide who gets what book through a Dirty Santa/White Elephant/Chinese gift exchange sort of thing.

I brought Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. I couldn't decide what to bring and finally settled on taking a book a lot of people rave about but I could never really get into. I came away with two books. One of which was Change your Shoes, Change your Life: Strut your way to a Fabulous New You. I will definitely be regifting this book to either a coworker or bringing it back next year to the Cookie Book Exchange Party (sorry daph!) It looks like it would be a great book for someone, but not for me. I also picked up What's Your Poo Telling You? that my friend Sam gave me. It's hysterical. I was on the floor with tears flowing at one point from how funny it was.

So overall, didn't bring home any Pulitzer Prize novels but did have a great time relaxing with friends.

I am sitting at Two Story this morning upstairs in a cozy little room with giant pillows on the ground. My mission is to piece together a Foundations study guide for my final on Friday. It is a now a take home final which relieves a little pressure but still need to know my stuff!

Here's to a lazy intellectually stimulating Tuesday...Cheers.
