little boxes...

Today is a good day. A very good day. I feel that I have a new electronic outlook on life and I'm quite pleased with my new toys. First off, we have my new television. I bought it on Black Friday over Thanksgiving and just hooked it up today. It's a 32" LCD HD Samsung tv and kicks the shitake out of my 7 year old 20" clunker. Definitely an upgrade for our living room. Second, we have roku. I have been a Netflix subscriber for about three years now and when Netflix came out with the "Watch Instantly" allowing viewers to watch a number of movies on the spot, I sat idly by waiting for Netflix to realize it was the 21st century and they needed a mac version. They finally did and I enjoyed watching a few things on my mac. And then life got even better when DP got me the roku. An amazing christmas gift that now allows me to watch my instant netflix on my tv. I don't know if it gets much better than that. Especially at the moment when I am plowing through Weeds Season 1 & 2. Life. is. good.

So a shout out to things in my life that currently rock my world: my new tv, my new roku, and my best friend who helped make it all possible (and walked me through the preschool set up instructions.)
