Philadelphia.
Phew. And I'm back. As an extrovert, I live for social interaction. It's my charger. But after the last few days in Philly, even I am WORN OUT. I got back last night from spending 5 days in the city of love interviewing candidates and catching up with old colleagues. Unfortunately, there was not much sight seeing to be done as I was tied up from 8am-7pm every day with back to back interviews. But when I wasn't interviewing, here's what I was able to do...
EAT some delicious meals at Rangoon, Tweed, Public House, and Italian Bistro. DRINK my favorite long-lost friend, Yuengling, at Finn's (while also enjoying some one of a kind karaoke), and at the Mariott bar, and RECONNECT with SO MANY amazing folks. I kept running into people I knew from grad school (professors, staff, and csaa mates) and each time, I told my buddy how much I heart that person. He told me I heart too many people to really make it count but in my opinion, it just affirmed for me how amazing my two years down in Georgia were and how blessed I was to get to meet so many incredible people who impacted me both personally and professionally.
So now I'm back and it's back to work. I don't miss the Dunkin Donuts in my hotel I visited each morning for their delicious coffee and I don't miss sharing a bedroom with my buddy who tended to snore quite loudly. But I do miss the allure of getting to be somewhere else for a hot minute and getting to spend a per diem!
Cheers.
