NEW ORLEANS

I'm headed home this weekend. First time since Christmas. I miss not being home more. When I traveled for my previous job, I often found myself down in New Orleans for a recruiting trip allowing me to visit Mom and Dad every couple months or so.

I'm looking forward to being home for several reasons:
1. Paw Paw's birthday celebration with my dad's side of the family.
2. Amy (a member of my cohort) is doing her internship at Loyola this summer and she is coming over for dinner Saturday night. She'll be the first one of the cohort to meet the parentals and I'm excited to have her join us.
3. My sister comes home from Denver, CO. She is about to embark on a year long adventure to Australia and I'm anxious to see her before she leaves.
4. Early Father's Day lunch with the Romig Fab 5 (our immediate family...although it may be Fab 5 + 1 extended family member if Katie comes into town with Jeff.)

So all in all, it should be a great weekend home jam packed with family and hopefully a great reprieve from working in Athens. I am hoping to see Up this weekend as I've heard great things about it.

I'll leave you with something Kat posted on her blog that I thought was really cool...

Cheers!
