Happy Birthday 'Merica!

Love Google's header today! Happy Birthday America (otherwise known as the Fourth of July and Independence Day)! I cannot recall the last time America's birthday fell in the middle of the week making it an odd holiday. Yes, we have the day off but when the days on either side are not holidays, vacations and extended celebrations seem odd. In any case, I am thrilled to have this hump day off to celebrate the country.

Today's agenda: laundering, INSANITY-ing, pooling, and grilling. I'm looking forward to reading at the pool this afternoon since I'm LOVING my current read (The Art of Fielding) and then grilling out this evening with my colleagues/friends. My contribution are the condiments and a berry salad with walnuts, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. SCORE.
