Less Extreme Makeover: Blog Edition
When I was younger, I used to re-arrange my bedroom on a yearly (if not 6-month) basis. I just could not stand for things to stay the same. I enjoyed changing things up, and looking back I can vividly remember my bed being in at least 5 different spaces. My twin bed that is. I think my favorite being positioning the bed under the window in the nook. Almost felt like my own little safe haven. However, I surprisingly did not ever re-arrange my bedroom once I moved off campus in college (lack of space) and only re-arranged it once in the 3 years I lived in Memphis post. Perhaps a queen bed is to blame... Nor have I been able to rearrange my bedroom here in St. Louis in the 2 years since I moved in. The room just isn't designed for it. Have I outgrown the itch? Most certainly not. Here, I've found other rooms to mess with like my living room and guest bedroom.
All that being said, my blog felt old, stagnant, and ready for some new life to be breathed into it. The blog turns 4 on Sunday and in 4 years, not much has changed with it except the number of posts and visitors. Oh and the URL. So I hope you enjoy the new layout and find it easy to navigate. I think it's pretty simple and aesthetically pleasing. What happened to old the old posts? Just look to the right and the icon will pop out. And if you miss the old layout, have no fear. Chances are now that I've started on this quest the blog may get a new makeover down the road.
Cheers.
