how did your weekend go...this little jingle used to play on 104.5 fm (thanks laine!) in memphis every monday morning. Listeners would call in and let mike and mandy know how their weekend went based on their high and lows of the weekend. It was always a catchy little jingle...I miss it.
Hard to believe I haven't posted since Thursday. What's wrong with me? I'm seriously slacking. Sorry folks. So how did the weekend go? JAM PACKED!
FRIDAY: Worked all day on Dawg Camp stuff including interviewing and selecting a new Exec for 08-09. Welcome! I'm really excited about the folks we selected and look forward to the year ahead with them. After work I went to the Globe with my coworkers. It was great to interact with them outside the work setting and get to know them a little better. Food was excellent too. Some of the best nachos I've had in a LONG time.
SATURDAY: Went to the tailgate and the UGA/Central Michigan game. The tailgate was milder than I expected but it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed sitting in the student section for the game. Even though I had been to a few LSU games in the past, this felt like my first true SEC football game being smashed among screaming students bleeding red and black. I'm looking forward to the next game. Went out Saturday night to Agua Linda--definitely the best Mexican food I've had here in Athens thus far although the strawberry margarita is one to avoid. It's pretty weak. Then went to Locos for some $2 bottled beers. It was one of those nights where you end up with an amazing group of people, the dynamic is great, and you end up sitting around laughing for hours. A memorable night indeed.
SUNDAY: Went to the Outlets today! It reminded me of being in Gulf Shores on a family vacation. Jase and I met Ash and J at the Outlets for some solid shopping. I had birthday money to spend. Found some incredible sales and ended up with some great buys. Pretty excited about it. The outlets are about 90 minutes away so definitely not a trip I'll be making often but hopefully 2-3 times a year. It's worth it. And as always, so good to see Ash and J. I miss those guys!
