Reading, Writing, Arithmetic...

TOO MUCH HOMEWORK MAKES ME SICK! They say (and by they, I mean the proverbial "they" as I have no way of knowing who exactly that is) that graduate school has a lot of work associated with it. They weren't kidding. I was talking to my supervisor last night at dinner at Hilltop Grille, (which for you athens folks is a place worth checking out. Food is great and priced moderately and is a fun place for a slightly more upscale night out) about the amount of reading. His response was that we needed to learn to be smart about our reading. It's almost impossible to read every word and process what you're reading. You're better off focusing on the main points and learning what to read and what to skip or browse. So that's my new goal.

I also plan to talk to my roommates about securing summaries and study guides. If that's not a perk of living with second years, I'm not sure what is. Hopefully they'll pass along their wisdom!

I'm on a workout kick and I'm enjoying it. I've been hitting the gym hard lately and finding it a great stress release and an opportunity to get away from UGA and do something on my own.

Spending the day in the office tomorrow interviewing and selecting new Exec members for DAWG Camp. Looking forward to it. Also excited about the game on Saturday and tailgating for the first time this season.

Cheers.
