I am going home this week. 109 Hollywood Drive. I was thinking about it just the other day and realizing how great it is that my parents have lived in the same house for the past 24 years-almost a quarter of a century. I have never really known another house (except for pictures of me as a toddler but I don't quite remember that other place).
I am really looking forward to getting away from Athens for a week to go back home. Grant it, I will be working on two papers when I am home but it will be nice to get a change of scenery and spend some time with my parents. I haven't been home since the July 4 weekend which feels like the longest I have gone in a while.
Finished another project yesterday which means the semester is really starting to wind down. I am going to try and tackle my Foundations Current Issues paper on Parents before I go home. It's due the Monday we return from break (how lucky!)
On a running update, I ran in the Botanical Gardens on Friday which is becoming my new favorite running place and ran for a solid hour. First time I have done that...ever. I am looking forward to training for the half marathon once the new year begins and feel more prepared knowing that I can run a solid 6 miles and still feel good afterward. Baby steps.
Off to spend the day reading and researching. Cheers.
