yadda yadda.
Yesterday was a really good day. Well, up until 10:30pm last night when I got a speeding ticket on my way home. That wasn't really the best way to end the day. But aside from the ticket, it was a great day.
The Po-Boy festival, despite the crowds, was a lot of fun and Katie and Matt made the front page of the Metro section of the Times Picayune. Katie is chomping down on a Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade po-boy and Matt was about to. You can see a corner of my hair in my picture but I guess I wasn't interesting enough to make the paper. Sad day. But that po-boy was mmmmm. I also had a Crawfish Sausage po-boy. delicious. (Sidenote: these weren't whole po-boys, just samples.)
Last night Matt and I went to the TEC Hoot. TEC is a christian community Matt and I were heavily involved with toward the end of high school and first few years of college. It's always good to be back with that community and it definitely lifted my faith. I needed it after going to Mass yesterday afternoon and listening to the priest spout off about how as Catholics, we could elect a president who allowed abortions to take place. He felt we chose a better economy over protection of the unborn. I wanted to stand up and ask him about protection and equality for all persons but I didn't go there...
Not much on tap for the day. Going to work out this morning and hit up the Saints game tonight at the Dome. One of these days I need to take my computer to a coffee shop and work on my auto but not today...
Cheers.
