Twilight.

I'm not usually one to get caught up into the hype of things (unless it's HSM) so when Harry Potter came around, I didn't bother to read the first book. I couldn't tell you how many books there currently are but I have seen the films. Everyone always complains that the films aren't nearly as good as the books and though I haven't read them, I don't feel like I am missing out on anything big.

I had not really heard much about this whole new Twilight saga. Something about vampires but that's all I had. When I heard the movie was coming out, I figured this was just another Harry Potter thing. It was only in finding out that several members of my cohort are seriously addicted to the Twilight series that I decided to check it out.

So with nothing better to do over Thanksgiving break, I am reading Twilight. And I gotta say, I'm not impressed (sorry folks). I'm up to page 350 and I don't find the story all that interesting. I get that Bella, the human teenager, falls for Edward, the 108 year old vampire, presenting himself as a teenage boy. Creepy, but I get it. But truth be told, I'm tired of reading page after page about how obsessed Bella is with him. I was hoping for more story, more plot, anything really. I'll finish the book by week's end. Chances are nothing new will happen in the last 175 pages. At least I can say I know what people are talking about. I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Much Ado About Nothing I say...

Cheers.
