Po-Boy Preservation Festival.
One of things I miss about not living in Memphis anymore is the Cooper Young Festival. It was always a great way to enjoy some good food, drinks, music, and check out the local artist scene. Athens (to my knowledge) just doesn't have anything quite like it.
Matt and I (and hopefully Katie) are hitting up the 2nd annual Po-Boy Preservation Festival today uptown. Last year, 10,000 people showed up to the festival to enjoy a variety of po-boys from all across the city. I am looking forward to sampling some good food and checking out the artist market that will be there as well. Perhaps I can find some good Christmas gifts for the family.
